Common antibiotic could boost stroke recovery in major new trial

Summary

This study tests whether adding the antibiotic minocycline to standard stroke care can improve survival and reduce disability in adults who have had a moderate stroke. About 1,164 participants will be randomly assigned to receive either minocycline pills for five days plus usual care, or usual care alone. Researchers will track neurological recovery and complications over 90 days.
