Smaller incision for kidney stones? study compares surgical techniques
NCT ID NCT04069013
Summary
This study compared two surgical techniques for removing kidney stones: the standard procedure (PCNL) and a newer 'mini' version with a smaller incision. The goal was to see if the smaller approach led to less blood loss and fewer complications. The trial involved 18 adults with medium-sized kidney stones who were randomly assigned to receive one of the two surgeries.
