Summary
This study tested a text-messaging program called iQuit Mindfully that uses mindfulness techniques to help people stop smoking. Over 500 adult smokers in the Atlanta area used the program, some also attending in-person counseling. Researchers checked if participants stayed smoke-free for up to 24 weeks using breath and saliva tests.
