Summary
This study tested whether a short mindfulness lesson before inguinal hernia surgery helps adults feel less pain afterward. 68 participants had their pain, fear of pain, and how much pain interfered with daily life measured before and after surgery. The goal was to see if mindfulness training could lower these scores compared to no training.
