Mindfulness training tested to tame high blood pressure
NCT ID NCT03924531
Summary
This study tested whether mindfulness training could help people with high blood pressure better follow their doctor's advice. Researchers enrolled 36 adults who struggled with taking their medication, eating healthy, and exercising regularly. Participants were randomly assigned to either receive a 6-week mindfulness program or be in a comparison group to see if mindfulness improved these habits and blood pressure control.
