First seen Jul 09, 2026 · Last updated Jul 10, 2026 · Updated 1 time
Summary
This study tests whether a 10-week digital mindfulness program, combined with dietary advice, can help people with type 2 diabetes and obesity lose weight and improve blood sugar control. Participants learn mindful eating techniques through videos and home exercises. The trial measures changes in weight, body fat, eating behaviors, stress, and related hormones.

- Mindfulness-Based Eating Awareness Training (MB-EAT)
- What this could lead to
- If successful, this approach could offer a practical, drug-free way to help people with diabetes and obesity better manage their weight and blood sugar.
- What could go wrong
- This is a relatively small trial testing a behavioral intervention, so results may not apply to everyone. Benefits may vary, and the program requires a significant time commitment.
