Mindful eating cuts food cravings in obesity study
NCT ID NCT07461740
First seen Mar 11, 2026 · Last updated May 22, 2026 · Updated 9 times
Summary
This study looked at whether teaching mindful eating skills to adults with obesity can reduce hedonic hunger—the desire to eat for pleasure rather than hunger. 82 participants either followed a weight-loss diet alone or added mindful eating training. Researchers measured changes in eating awareness and food cue responsiveness. The goal was to see if mindfulness can help manage overeating.
