First seen May 01, 2026 · Last updated May 23, 2026 · Updated 3 times
Summary
This study looks at whether using a midline catheter (a type of IV line) is a safe and practical way to give repeated lidocaine infusions for chronic pain in an outpatient setting. About 500 adults who need these infusions will receive ten sessions through the catheter. The goal is to see if this approach reduces the need for multiple needle sticks and improves comfort without raising risks.
