First seen May 01, 2026 · Last updated May 08, 2026 · Updated 2 times

Summary

This study looks at whether a type of IV called a midline catheter can be used safely and effectively for repeated lidocaine infusions to treat chronic pain outside the hospital. About 500 adults who need ten sessions of lidocaine will get the infusions through this catheter. The goal is to see if it reduces the need for multiple needle sticks and improves comfort during treatment.
