First seen Dec 26, 2025 · Last updated Jun 20, 2026 · Updated 19 times
Summary
This study looked at whether adding a special imaging test of tiny blood vessels under the tongue (microcirculation) to standard monitoring during major vascular surgery could help patients leave the hospital sooner. It involved 22 high-risk adults undergoing procedures like carotid artery repair or aortic aneurysm surgery. The study was terminated early, so results are limited.
