Summary

This study tests whether methotrexate, a drug used for rheumatoid arthritis, can reduce joint swelling and pain in people with chronic arthritis caused by chikungunya virus. About 150 adults in Colombia will receive either methotrexate or a placebo for 6 months. The goal is to see if the drug improves disease activity scores and reduces inflammation in joint tissue.
