Summary
This study is testing whether adding the diabetes medication metformin to standard methotrexate treatment works better for controlling rheumatoid arthritis. Researchers want to see if the combination helps more patients achieve remission compared to methotrexate alone. The trial involves 128 adults with active rheumatoid arthritis who haven't taken methotrexate recently.
