NCT ID NCT07485764

First seen Apr 06, 2026 · Last updated May 21, 2026 · Updated 7 times

Summary

This study tests whether adding metformin (a diabetes drug) to secukinumab (a standard psoriasis medication) works better than secukinumab alone for controlling moderate-to-severe plaque psoriasis in overweight or obese Chinese adults. About 186 participants will receive either the combination or a placebo plus secukinumab for 60 weeks. The goal is to see if the combination leads to clearer skin and better quality of life.
