First seen Mar 24, 2026 · Last updated May 25, 2026 · Updated 10 times
Summary
This study looked at whether adding a 1% metformin gel to a bone graft helps new bone grow better and makes immediate dental implants more stable. Twenty adults with a tooth that could not be saved and who needed an implant took part. The researchers measured implant stability and gum health over 12 months to see if the gel made a difference.
