First seen Feb 04, 2026 · Last updated Apr 30, 2026 · Updated 10 times

Summary

This study tests whether a combination of topical (applied directly) and oral metformin can shrink or stop the growth of oral leukoplakia, a precancerous mouth condition. About 34 adults with mild-to-moderate dysplasia will receive the treatment. The goal is to see if metformin can prevent the lesion from turning into cancer, offering a non-surgical option.
