Summary

This study is testing whether metformin, a medication commonly used for diabetes, can help older adults with a specific type of heart failure. Researchers want to see if taking the drug for 20 weeks improves patients' ability to exercise and their overall quality of life. The trial involves 86 participants who will be randomly assigned to receive either metformin or a placebo pill.
