Summary
This study tests whether metformin, a common diabetes drug, is safe and can protect the brain in people aged 55 to 75 with multiple sclerosis (MS). Participants will receive metformin alone, with their current MS treatment, or a placebo for 9 months. The goal is to see if metformin reduces nerve damage and disability progression.
