Summary
This early-stage study tests whether metformin, a common diabetes pill, can reduce pain and help heal the Achilles tendon in people with chronic tendinopathy. Forty non-diabetic adults will take either metformin or a placebo for 16 weeks, along with a home exercise program. The goal is to see if the drug improves pain, function, and tendon structure.
