Summary
This study compares different training methods for ICU staff to improve how they remove breathing tubes from patients with respiratory failure. Over 13,000 adults on ventilators for more than 24 hours will be included. The goal is to see if team-based training or using a clinical protocol leads to better use of oxygen support after tube removal and reduces deaths in the hospital.
