First seen May 10, 2026 · Last updated May 18, 2026 · Updated 2 times

Summary

This study looks at why a special type of body fat (brown fat) that burns calories stops working in people with obesity. Researchers will take small samples of fat and blood from 8 volunteers before and after warming up to find the molecules that turn off this calorie-burning process. The goal is to discover new targets for future treatments for obesity and related metabolic diseases.
