Summary
This study tested a new technique using a special mesh to reinforce the abdominal wall after ileostomy closure in people with inflammatory bowel disease. The goal was to see if it could safely prevent hernias, a common complication. The study was stopped early after enrolling only 8 participants, but it gathered initial safety data.
