New surgery technique could cut Crohn's recurrence by 30%

Summary
This study tests whether removing the mesentery (a fatty tissue near the intestine) during surgery for Crohn's disease is safe and helps prevent the disease from coming back. About 30 adults with Crohn's who are on biotherapy and need ileocolic surgery will take part. Researchers will compare complication rates and check for disease return at 6 months using a scope.
