Gut-Brain connection: probiotic trial aims to sharpen aging minds
NCT ID NCT07410052
First seen Jun 27, 2026 · Last updated Jun 27, 2026
Summary
This study tests whether taking a specific probiotic (Lactobacillus rhamnosus GG) with a special form of vitamin B2 for 12 weeks can improve memory and thinking in adults over 65 who have mild memory problems. Researchers will measure changes in cognitive tests and brain activity to see if targeting the gut can support brain health. The trial involves 28 participants and uses a placebo for comparison.
