Phone app aims to bridge mental health gap for indigenous youth

NCT ID NCT05991154

Summary

This study is testing if a smartphone app called JoyPop can help young Indigenous adults (ages 18-25) manage difficult emotions, stress, anxiety, and depression while they are waiting to start formal mental health therapy. Researchers will compare the app's effects to the usual waiting period to see if it improves emotional coping skills. The goal is to provide immediate, accessible support during a vulnerable time.
