Summary

This study tested a new vaccine designed to protect against four types of meningococcal disease (A, C, W, Y) in healthy teenagers. Researchers compared the new vaccine to an already approved one to see if it worked just as well. They also checked if it was safe and effective when given at the same time as other common adolescent vaccines for HPV, tetanus, diphtheria, pertussis, and polio.
