Summary
This study tested a new vaccine designed to protect against four major strains of meningococcal disease (A, C, W, Y) in healthy 10-17 year olds. Researchers compared the new vaccine's ability to trigger a protective immune response to an already approved vaccine. They also checked if giving it at the same time as other recommended vaccines for teens (HPV and Tdap-IPV) was safe and didn't weaken the protection from any of the shots.
