NCT ID NCT07307612
First seen Jan 04, 2026 · Last updated Jun 05, 2026 · Updated 26 times
Summary
This study tests whether giving extremely premature babies (born at 28 weeks or earlier) a special diet enriched with DHA and ARA during their first two weeks of life can reduce lung damage and improve breathing. About 150 babies will be randomly assigned to receive either the enriched diet or standard nutrition. The goal is to see if this early nutrition can lower the severity of bronchopulmonary dysplasia, a chronic lung disease common in preemies.
