Special MRI scans aim to unlock mysteries of common heart failure
NCT ID NCT06652763
First seen May 03, 2026 · Last updated May 24, 2026 · Updated 3 times
Summary
This study uses a new type of MRI scan with a special dye to look at how the heart works in people with heart failure with preserved ejection fraction (HFpEF), especially those who also have type 2 diabetes. The goal is to understand why this combination is so harmful. Researchers will scan 40 people with HFpEF and up to 20 healthy volunteers to compare heart function, calcium uptake, and energy use.
