First seen Mar 25, 2026 · Last updated May 24, 2026 · Updated 11 times
Summary
This study tested a technique that helps people with advanced cancer and their partners organize traumatic memories and practice slow breathing to reduce PTSD symptoms. The approach aimed to shift how the brain processes trauma, moving from emotional reactions to more controlled thinking. The study was stopped early and included only 19 participants, so results are limited.
