New drug combo shows promise in curbing meth addiction

Summary

This study tests whether a combination of two medications, extended-release naltrexone and bupropion, can help people with moderate to severe methamphetamine use disorder reduce their drug use. About 360 adults who want to cut back or quit will receive either the medication or a placebo. The main goal is to see if more participants in the medication group have drug-free urine tests after 12 weeks.
