Shorter Follow-Up for abortion pill: 2 weeks instead of 4?

NCT ID NCT06893484

First seen May 11, 2026 · Last updated May 23, 2026 · Updated 6 times

Summary

This study looks at whether a urine pregnancy test taken 2 weeks after a medication abortion can reliably show the abortion is complete, instead of waiting the usual 4 weeks. About 400 people with very early pregnancies (up to 42 days) will take weekly pregnancy tests and answer symptom surveys for a month. The goal is to make follow-up quicker and easier for patients.
