NCT ID NCT03559998

First seen Mar 28, 2026 · Last updated Jun 22, 2026 · Updated 15 times

Summary

This completed study looked at how fourth-year medical students learn to build better relationships with patients. Over 400 students took part in training that included lectures, role play, simulated consultations, and Balint group discussions. Researchers interviewed students and teachers and reviewed written work to understand what helps or hinders learning. The goal is to eventually create better tools for teaching and testing these important communication skills.
