ER staff to help uninsured kids get health coverage on the spot

Summary
This study tests a program where hospital staff help families sign up or renew their child's Medicaid (NJ FamilyCare) right in the emergency room. About 180 parents of uninsured children will be asked about barriers to coverage and offered direct assistance. The goal is to see if this bedside help makes it easier for kids to get and keep health insurance.
