First seen Nov 01, 2025 · Last updated May 20, 2026 · Updated 24 times
Summary
This study tested whether a fixed-dose combination of two drugs (Mebeverine and Simethicone) works better than either drug alone for reducing abdominal pain and bloating in people with functional bowel disorders. 465 adults aged 18-75 with at least 3 months of belly pain and gas took part. The main goal was to see if the combo pill improved pain and bloating scores after 4 weeks of treatment.
