Summary
This study tested a new pill that combines two medicines (mebeverine and simethicone) to see if it works better than taking either medicine alone for people with ongoing belly pain and gas caused by functional bowel disorders. About 465 adults took part. The goal was to measure how much pain and bloating went down after 4 weeks of treatment.
