First seen Mar 26, 2026 · Last updated May 20, 2026 · Updated 10 times

Summary

This study explores whether MDMA-assisted therapy can help new mothers (6 to 12 months after childbirth) who struggle with both post-traumatic stress disorder (PTSD) and opioid use disorder. Fifteen participants will receive the therapy alongside their usual medication for opioid use. The goal is to see if this approach is safe and feasible, and whether it can reduce PTSD symptoms, opioid use, and improve bonding with their baby.
