New imaging showdown: can MBI replace MRI for High-Risk breast cancer detection?

NCT ID NCT05042687

First seen Nov 01, 2025 · Last updated Jun 13, 2026 · Updated 30 times

Summary

This study compares two types of breast imaging—molecular breast imaging (MBI) and magnetic resonance imaging (MRI)—to see how well each finds or rules out breast cancer in women at high risk. About 300 women will take part. The goal is to find out if MBI works as well as MRI, which could offer a simpler or faster option for screening.
