New imaging tech aims for more accurate breast biopsies

NCT ID NCT06058650

Summary

This study is testing whether a special type of breast scan, called molecular breast imaging (MBI), can help doctors take more accurate tissue samples (biopsies) from suspicious breast lumps. It aims to help when standard ultrasound or mammogram images aren't clear enough to guide the biopsy needle precisely. The study will involve about 70 women who need a breast biopsy to check for cancer.
