First seen Nov 01, 2025 · Last updated May 24, 2026 · Updated 26 times

Summary

This study followed 487 pregnant women in Shanghai to see if key nutrients like folate and vitamin D affect their baby's chance of developing eczema (atopic dermatitis) by 6 months old. Researchers measured nutrient levels in the mothers' blood and checked babies for eczema. The goal was to find possible links, not to test a treatment.
