Could Mom's vitamins prevent Baby's itchy skin?

NCT ID NCT02889081

Summary

This study aimed to understand if key nutrients in a mother's body during pregnancy, like folate and vitamin D, are connected to whether her baby develops atopic dermatitis (eczema) in the first 6 months of life. Researchers followed 487 pregnant women in Shanghai, checking their nutrient levels and tracking their babies' skin health. The goal was to gather evidence that could one day help prevent this common childhood skin condition.
