No-Mask brain radiation: a comfort breakthrough?
NCT ID NCT07323966
First seen Jan 10, 2026 · Last updated May 22, 2026 · Updated 19 times
Summary
This study explores whether people with brain tumors can safely receive radiotherapy without wearing an immobilization mask. Instead, a surface imaging system tracks movement to keep the radiation beam accurate. Twenty adults will try a mask-free session and report on comfort, anxiety, and claustrophobia compared to standard masked treatment.
