Magnet therapy put to the test for carpal tunnel sufferers

NCT ID NCT07435961

First seen Feb 28, 2026 · Last updated May 18, 2026 · Updated 5 times

Summary

This study will test whether low-frequency pulsed electromagnetic field therapy (magnetotherapy) can reduce pain and improve hand function in people with mild-to-moderate carpal tunnel syndrome. Sixty adults will be randomly assigned to receive either active magnetotherapy, a placebo device, or standard care (wrist splint and exercises). The goal is to see if this non-invasive treatment offers real benefits beyond a placebo effect.
