Brain magnet therapy tested for faster relief from psychosis
NCT ID NCT06581302
Summary
This study is testing whether a newer brain stimulation treatment called Magnetic Seizure Therapy (MST) can help control symptoms of psychotic disorders like schizophrenia when added to standard antipsychotic medications. Researchers want to see if MST helps reduce symptoms faster and with fewer memory and thinking side effects than medication alone. The trial will involve 50 adults with active psychosis who will receive either MST plus their medication or just their medication for two weeks, followed by monitoring.
