First seen Jan 05, 2026 · Last updated May 25, 2026 · Updated 18 times
Summary
This study explored whether a person's magnesium level, measured by a magnesium depletion score, affects how well the socket heals after wisdom tooth removal. Researchers followed 111 healthy adults who had a lower wisdom tooth taken out. They checked healing and pain levels to see if low magnesium made recovery slower.
