First seen Oct 31, 2025 · Last updated May 24, 2026 · Updated 30 times

Summary

This study evaluates a new point-of-care test called MagIA H3S that can detect HIV, hepatitis B, hepatitis C, and syphilis from a single blood sample. Researchers will test about 2,950 people in Ivory Coast and Kenya to see how accurate the device is compared to standard lab tests. The goal is to provide a fast, easy way to screen for multiple infections at once, especially in areas with limited access to healthcare.
