First seen Jan 22, 2026 · Last updated May 23, 2026 · Updated 18 times
Summary
This study reviewed heart MRI scans from 4000 adults to find out how often a small variation in the heart valve, called mitral annular disjunction (MAD), occurs. The goal was to see if MAD is linked to heart rhythm problems or valve issues. The research was purely observational and did not test any treatment.
