First seen Jan 22, 2026 · Last updated May 12, 2026 · Updated 15 times
Summary
This study looked at 4,000 adults who had a heart MRI to find out how often a condition called Mitral Annular Disjunction (MAD) occurs. MAD is a slight shift in where the heart valve attaches, and it may be linked to heart rhythm problems. The goal was to measure how common MAD is and see if it is associated with other heart issues.
