First seen Nov 01, 2025 · Last updated May 20, 2026 · Updated 34 times
Summary
This study looked at 130 elderly surgery patients (65+) to see if a lung ultrasound score could predict whether they would need breathing support again after their breathing tube was removed. Researchers measured lung ultrasound and diaphragm movement during weaning. The goal was to find better ways to prevent complications and avoid re-intubation.
