Can periodic puffs prevent lung collapse during spine surgery?

Summary

This study looks at whether doing lung-opening maneuvers several times during spine surgery (instead of just once) can reduce partial lung collapse. About 60 adults having elective spine surgery while lying face-down will take part. Doctors will use lung ultrasound to check how well the lungs are working.
