Spine surgery lung trick: does repeating a simple maneuver keep lungs open?
NCT ID NCT07325812
First seen Jan 11, 2026 · Last updated Apr 29, 2026 · Updated 12 times
Summary
This study looks at whether doing a lung re-inflation procedure several times during spine surgery (while lying face-down) reduces lung collapse better than doing it just once. About 60 adults having planned spine surgery will be randomly assigned to one of two groups. The researchers will use lung ultrasound to check how well the lungs are working.
